Request refunds of false double order

Hello, I am trying to get an order refunded that was never received. The reason being that the website processed two of the same orders and I only took one at the restaurant I went to.

The restaurant told me to contact heartland to receive my money back because I was charged double automatically. It was La fiesta a charge of $28.44

The order id of WEB3 was successfully processed and picked up but not WEB2, it was an accidental order due to the page not refreshing and no online confirmation message.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. WASN'T HAPPY AT ALL FROM THE PARTIAL REFUND RECEIVED. SHALL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN.

This is a mail order catalog company doing business by sending out these to customers mailboxes. I reviewed this catalog and saw three items that i was interested in.

Shark Vac battery operated for the car, men's multi crew socks 15 pack and simoniz memory foam seat cushions for the car. Price's were 59.99 for the vac, 24.99 for the socks and 39.99 for the seat cushions. Also being advertised was a Membership program special of 1 year - 20% off now and a 10.00 credit towards future items. Also free shipping on this order for a grand total of 142.63 charged to my credit card.

Delivery was on time and i did receive them. Needless to say, the socks were a very poor quality and already coming apart on the one pair i tried on. Cheap material used. The car seats were advertised having a backing on them to keep them in place and that wasn't true at all.

The car vac was the only thing that wasn't returned as it did work alright for a model that had been repaired as it wasn't new. To RETURN these items back to them, they offer NO RETURN LABEL to do so. You must return them at your cost and they also have a restocking fee of 2.95 just to process it. The return charge cost me 26.05 done by UPS.

NOW, THE REAL ROTTEN NEWS - Canceled this membership and requested a FULL REFUND back to my credit card less the cost of the vac. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AT ALL. A refund was issued by them to me on 11/17/2023 in the amount of 57.05. NO REFUND on the membership nor the return money spent out to ship back these FALSE ADVERTISED items inside their catalog.

56.04 should still be added back onto my account due to this ROTTEN POLICY of false advertising to the customers who buy in good faith that they REALLY are receiving what they are paying for. ONE VERY PISSED CUSTOMER.

Tricked by salesperson

I received a call on May 24th from a man from Heartland America that on a previous order I was overcharged and would be issueing me credit to my account. Instead I got charged for $64.76 which was on my

bank account.

I saw 2 messages thanking me for enrolling in their Elite Gold and the Value Club.

Trying to get a exchange a xl leather vest for a 2xl leather vest this has been about a month.

Company stood good

I had recently ordered 2 air water coolers and was billed for 2 but only received one after I went to the online website for discrepancies and told them what happened and they immediately shipped me my other unit, I have bought a lot of items from Heartland over the last 30 years and everything is usually fine,

this was the first blooper in all them years yet everything was made good so i will still offer a 5 star review, THANK YOU

Not happy

I ended up canceling the order and calling my credit card company to return my money: Heartland America Never sent my 300.00 order and never called me back. I tried numerous times to call them again after my first attempts but they still never even tried to call me back or try to make it right.

They never tried to return my calls or tried to return my money. They didn't send me what I ordered and they didn't care that I didn't get it. The really disturbing part was that the supervisor lied to me about contacting a man that was NOT the president of their company. It was a bold face outright lie.

Be very careful about buying anything from this company. They don't sound American either. They all sound like they are from another country. Pretty funny that they call it Heartland "America".oto

Regarding: tracking status is still unavailable

When I checked the status again after 1 week of my order since I still had not received it... it read: That my order was on "backorder" even though after 2 long waits on phone calls (over 2 hours) I was told that the item was indeed "in stock". First call the call was abruptly discontinued. The second call I was on hold another hour and asked the customer services' name or employee number in case I was disconnected again.

I was then immediately disconnected before being given a name or number now after a 2 hour wait, although both people stated the item was "in stock".

Nobody bothered to call me back even though 2 people knew my number.

The next phone call I talked to Linda C. of Minnosota, (another hour spent-now 3 hours of my time) because I requested a supervisor immediately so as not to be hung up on. She also told me at first that the item was on backorder but then retracked that at the end of the phone call and told me that information was a "glitch in your system" and was incorrect.

She told me that the item was "in stock" after all.

I asked her for a discount on this item due to the 3 hours I had now spent, on the false information or false advertising and the misinformation throughout the process. I asked her for it to be overnighted.

She told me all she could offer me was $10 coupon. Why would I accept coupons from a company that has treated me so poorly so far????

Why would I ever want to use a company like this again????? I have not yet gotten the item and am very unhappy that this item was "falsely advertised as "in stock" when the tracking says it is on "back order" and I have indeed NOT received it yet. However now being told that it is truly "in stock" according to now 3 of your employees.

I am now asking you that this item be greatly discounted and NOT with coupons.

I want the purchase price due to my many hours spent with frustration greatly discounted and the item overnighted.

This has been a grueling experience and I don't believe I will have good reviews of your company but especially if you can't stand behind your work ethically after putting me through hours of work, toil, wait and still have not provided the purchased item but instead very quickly took the money.

I asked that the item be overnighted since I have already waited nearly a month and you have already very quickly taken the money. I was told that couldn't be done. Are you kidding? You need to take the "America" off your name because this is NOT how America deals with their misinformation, customer service or how America stands behind their service.

I do have affiliation with the media and without being discounted for this horrible service I am extremely tempted to recall my story publicly to make sure no one else deals with your awful service.

I hope to be notified quickly of your intention in this regard and I hope I receive the item quickly.

This has all been unacceptable. It is no way to build business or get customers. It is the perfect way to create a bad name for yourself and your company.

Please prove to me I am wrong by honoring my requested discount and item purchased quickly.

Writing this letter took even more time but was suggested to me by your employees who could not get a direct answer to give me by phone. I usually make about $28 an hour and have now spent 3.5 hours dealing with something I already purchased and have not received.

Hopefully you honor your customer's time as much as you honor your own. I have now spent $98.00 of my time trying to receive what I have already purchased.

I will be keeping my letter as reference to our conversations in case I need to take this further.

I worked as a manager in one of their call centers. The company didn't care at all about finding a reasonable compromise with the customers who were calling in to complain about their orders.

Only thing it worried about was making sure the reps were trying to push insurance of their item or trying to sell a magazine subscription. They made me a manager after two weeks. Two. Training took less than three hours for the new hires, and it's still head and shoulders above the training for the managers.

Do not order from these people. I guarantee you, you will regret it.
